*2024-2025 WINTER HSL ID SKATES - 2013 BIRTH YEAR*

*NEW* 2013 AAA team will represent Spartan in HSL’s AAA Division for the 2024/25 season. (*league division confirmed by HSL)

• Program features paid head coach, Colin Webster:
  • Colin has over 10+ years of experience coaching a number of Major and AAA teams of all ages.
  • Served as a Director of Satellite programs for Andrews Hockey Growth and Director of AFTI.
  • Colin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Spartan’s 2013 hockey program.
  • Since moving to Calgary, Colin has focused on building his hockey skills business spending more than 800 hours on ice per year working with some of Calgary’s top young players including several WHL, JR. A, NCAA, and Minor Pro players.
• Total costs for the program are yet to be determined.
• Selected players may also have the opportunity to play for Spartan Alberta in exclusive BIOSTEEL, PLAY HOCKEY, and Super Series national and international tournaments in the Spring/Summer of 2025.
• Each player will receive three skates:
  • Position specific skill skate (ie. Forward skate and Defense/Goalie skate)
  • Split team style practice (ie. Red team and White team)
  • Red vs. White final game where we will crown our inaugural 2013 Spartan Cup Champions
• Registration fee for the tryout camp is $125 for skaters and $90 for Goalies.
• Recommended for players who have played HSL/HADP in 2023/24.
• At this time we will only be accepting 2013 born players and 2012/2013 goalies.
• Spots are limited to 18 Forwards, 12 Defense, and 6 Goalies.
• The two-day tryout camp will be held on March 23rd and 24th @ Father David Bauer.
  • Day 1 - March 23, 2024
    • 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Forward Practice (w/ forward skills coach)
    • 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM: Defense/Goalie Practice (w/ goalie and defensive skills coaches)
    • Players drafted to Team Red or White *Notified via email and TeamSnap
  • Day 2 - March 24, 2024
    • 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Team Red Practice
    • 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM: Team White Practice
    • 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM: Red/White Spartan Cup (Full game with referees, 3x stop time periods, and bench coaches)
